DESCRIPTION:\nThis is a simple weekend in a beautiful but simple venue, set in stunning countryside. We will spend three days for dedicated Yoga and meditation practice in a very special Buddhist retreat centre which we will have sole use of. \nLet me guide you into deeply meditative states in a traditional approach to Yoga practice, guided by the wisdom of the classical Yoga texts, through Yoga asana (posture), pranayama (breath), mudra (energy seals), bandha (energy locks), and mantra (sacred sound). \nLet the practices release the waves of tension and restlessness from your body and mind, revealing to you the peace, joy and fullness of being that waits for you in the stillness and silence of your interiority. \nLet the wonderful natural landscape bring solace to your mind and heart, and soothe your soul. \nDelicious yet simple vegan foods will feed the spirit as well as the body, all selected to support a deepening Yoga and meditation practice. \nWHERE\nMaitreya House is in a very remote part of the rolling wooded hills above the Golden Valley and close to Offa’s Dyke in Herefordshire, just 10 miles from Hereford. We will be in a lovely house which has been a dedicated retreat venue for Buddhist meditation practice for many years. We will be very much supported in our own practice by the vibration of the land and venue. \nThe location is very quiet and remote, in one of the most mature and unspoilt landscapes in Britain that is perfect for country walks. The nearby villages of Ewyas Harold and Longtown have small shops.\nIt is approximately 1.5hrs from Straford upon Avon -Warwick area by car.\nWHEN: \nMarch 21st 3pm to Sunday 23rd 2pm. \nSAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE:\n\n6.00am wake up\n6.30am herbal tea\n7.00am Meditation and Pranayama (breathing practices)\n8:00am Breakfast\n10:00am Moving Into Stillness: a guided meditative Yoga practice\n12noon: Tea break, and practice debrief, with reflections on the Yoga Sutras.\n1.00pm LUNCH\n2.00pm Free time for resting, reading, or walking in nature. It is recommended to stay quiet, with devices aside, to support the transformational process of dedicated practice on this weekend. \n4.00pm  Moving Into Stillness: A guided meditative Yoga practice\n6:30pm Supper\n8.00pm Sacred chant and guided meditation\n9.00pm bedtime drink\n10.00pm Recommended lights out. \n\nACCOMMODATION:\nMaitreya House stands within a four acre site comprising the house, three wooden cabins, a utility block, many trees, maturing gardens, and an orchard. Accomodation is mainly in twin rooms in the main house, and in the cabins. There is an option for single accommodation. Please enquire about this.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nTwo years’ Yoga experience and some meditation experience also would be helpful though not essential.\nCOST: \n£495.00 for two nights full board in shared accommodation including all meals and teachings.\nThere is a supplement for single accomodation.
