Rest, Reset, Renew: A One-Day Nurturing Women’s Retreat

9am – 4.30pm,

Ettington Park Hotel, Warwickshire CV37 8BU

Time to Reconnect, Realign, and Recharge

A deeply nourishing day of Yoga, Ayurveda, seasonal wisdom, self-care and stillness, held in a beautiful luxury hotel on the edge of the Cotswolds.

As autumn deepens and the year begins its turning towards winter, this seasonal mid-point invites us to pause and make time for self-care.

Mid-Autumn invites us to make time for intentionally letting go of what has been, honouring the quieter rhythms of nature and turning gently inwards.

This beautiful day retreat offers you the space and support to do just that.

To step away from the demands of everyday life.

To slow down.

To be nourished.

To receive.

And to reconnect with the quieter, wiser part of yourself.

Set in beautiful grounds with far-reaching views across the North Cotswolds and South Warwickshire, our day together will be guided by the spirit of the season and the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.

Everything has been thoughtfully woven around the needs of autumn — from the Yoga and meditation practices to the food we share and the self-care rituals we explore together.

” The quality and range of your teaching is amazing…I can’t thank you enough.”

REST

We begin by arriving.

Leaving behind the busyness of everyday life and allowing ourselves to settle into the beauty and stillness of our surroundings.

Our gentle, Ayurveda-inspired Yoga practice will be shaped by the nature of autumn — a season that can bring dryness, movement and depletion, but also invites us to gather our energy, strengthen our roots and prepare for the inward journey of winter.

Through grounding movement, nourishing breathwork, meditation and deep relaxation, we will cultivate strength, steadiness, warmth and balance.

There is no striving here.

This is Yoga as nourishment….for all levels of experience.

RESET

Throughout the day, I will share seasonal Ayurvedic wisdom and simple practices to help you understand what your body and mind may need as we move from autumn towards winter.

We will explore ways of caring for ourselves at this time of year — creating warmth, supporting our energy, calming the nervous system and finding steadiness amidst the natural increase in Vata that accompanies the changing season.

And because self-care isn’t simply something we talk about, we’ll have the opportunity to experience it.

A LITTLE AYURVEDIC PAMPERING

You’ll be guided through simple, deeply nurturing self-care practices to support your health and happiness this season. And you can take these home to make them part of your own autumn and winter rituals.

We’ll explore a beautiful Ayurvedic face massage, using herbal oils chosen according to your dosha, together with traditional marma points associated with relaxation, vitality and facial wellbeing.

We’ll also learn simple Ayurvedic foot massage techniques, working with the feet and their marma points to encourage grounding, relaxation and a sense of coming home to the body.

Each practice will be followed by a deeply nurturing guided visualisation, allowing you to soften, receive and rest.

These are not treatments to be performed on you, but beautiful rituals you will learn to offer yourself.

NOURISH

Our seasonal lunch will be specially prepared by the hotel chef, inspired by the teachings of Ayurveda and the foods of the season.

As the natural world begins to turn inwards, our food can support us by becoming warmer, softer, richer and more nourishing.

We’ll explore some of the qualities that make autumn and early winter food so supportive — and enjoy a delicious meal created especially for our day together.

There will be time to eat slowly, savour the food and enjoy the pleasure of being together.

WALK, BREATHE & BE

There will also be time to step outside and experience the season itself.

We’ll take gentle, meditative walks through the beautiful hotel grounds, with their wonderful views across the North Cotswolds and Warwickshire borders.

These won’t be walks for fitness or distance.

They’ll be opportunities to slow down and notice.

The changing light.

The autumn landscape.

The movement of the wind.

The colours and textures of the season.

Perhaps simply allowing nature to remind us that letting go, resting and turning inward are not things to fear — they are part of the natural rhythm of life.

RENEW

As the afternoon progresses, we’ll come together for a deeply restful time as we nourish ourselves with guided Ayurveda self-care practices – a face massage and foot treatment – and brief guided visualisations to support the nourishing, calming effect of the treatments.

This point in the year, offers us a beautiful moment to reflect on what we might wish to release as we enter the darker nights ahead  — and what we would like to nurture within ourselves..

There may be things you are ready to put down.

Things you no longer need to carry.

And perhaps qualities you would like to cultivate: warmth, strength, nourishment, stillness, courage, connection or simply more kindness towards yourself.

We’ll create space for those reflections to be planted like a seed  waiting to germinate, in a closing Yoga nidra.
