PART 1: A Course On Ayurveda Lifestyle, Nutrition, and Psychology
This course will give you a comprehensive training in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda.
The course will teach you how to help make positive, empowering changes for greater well-being in your body, mind and spirit through nutrition, lifestyle, breath,meditatoin and awareness practices.
Following completion of the course, there is the option to join a residential Ayurveda Immersion training, run over 4 days and 5 nights. This training is for those who want to offer Ayurveda coaching to others.
With the immersion and submission of a successful written paper, you willl meet the criteria to become an accredited Ayurveda Lifestyle and Nutritional Coach with the Complementary Medical Association and with the Ayurveda Professional Associatoin.
The knowledge you will be given will teach you about metabolic function from an Ayurveda perspective, how to optimise this and problems that can arise within each Ayurveda metabolic type.
This learning, by it’s very nature, is transformational for your whole being – body, mind, heart and spirit.

You will learn:
- the foundational principles of Ayurveda anatomy and physiology
- Ayurveda cosmology
- the meeting point of Ayurveda and Yoga

You will also experience Ayurveda Yoga and meditation classes throughout the duration of the course.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- adapt your personal dietary and lifestyle choices according to the seasons, your stage in life, and your Ayurveda type for greater balance, health and longevity all-year round, and for life.
- assess the Ayurveda dosha and metabolic type of others
- recommend nutritional, lifestyle, breath, sound, meditation practices for each Ayurveda metabolic type to help restore and maintain balance and reduce symptoms.
- understand how Ayurveda type influences each psychology and be able to recommend suitable dietary, breath, sound and meditation practices to help balance mind as well as body.
- safely advise on the use of typical kitchen herbs, spices foods and a handful of prominent Ayurveda herbs to support balance in body, mind and heart.
RESIDENTIAL PART 2: OPTIONAL
An Ayurveda Living Immersion Training: Become An Accredited Ayurveda Lifestyle and Nutrition Coach
This training is for those who want to continue their learning and to become an Ayurveda lifestyle and nutritional coach.
The training includes:
Daily Ayurveda Yoga, breath and meditation classes.
Daily debrief to explain content of each Yoga class.
Daily Ayurveda meals.
One morning talk
One afternoon practicum
Free time each day for reading and study
Practicums putting your learning into practice.
This training will give you the required supplementary contact hours to be accredited by the Complementary Medical Association and to register with the Ayurveda Profesionals Association as an Ayurveda Lifesyle and Nutritional Therapist.
ON GRADUATION:
On graduation from the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance and detailed break down of aspects of Ayurveda covered in your studies. You will be eligible for registration with the CMA (Complementary Medical Association) as an Ayurveda Lifestyle and Nutrition Advisor.
We believe this course also meets the Ayurvedic Professionals Association requirements for APA member Ayurveda Lifestyle and Nutrition advisor registration. We will confirm this shortly.
You will not yet be eligbile to diagnose and treat disease states, however we are offering further training towards this end.
FURTHER AYURVEDA TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:
On graduation from the Ayurveda Living Course, you will have completed over 100 hours of study and training.
The Ayurveda Living Course is a complete training in itself and the first rung on our ladder of further trainings coming soon.
If you would then like to take your training even further, then we are offering Yoga Ayurveda Therapist supplemental trainings. Additionally, we are collaborating with an esteemed Academy and lineage of Ayurveda vaidyas (doctors) in Kerala India, to support you through further study, including Ayurveda body treatments training, and Ayurveda Therapist 500hr training.
These courses take place via a mix of both online livestreamed classes,and in-person immersions in the UK and Kerala, India.
This cross-cultural collaboration will qualify you as an Ayurveda Therapist, able to offer clinical 1-1 consultations advising and treating with nutrition, body treatments, Yoga Therapy, lifestyle, breath, and sound.
The Ayurveda teachers and doctors that we are collabrorating with are internationally respected and are passionate about safe-guarding and conveying responsible and authentic, in-depth Ayurveda training.
COURSE SCHEDULE & DATES:
The next course starts on January 16th, 2025 and will run until April 16, 2025. Classes will be livestreamed on Thursday evenings and if you can’t make the livestream, a recording will be available.
A written assessment and case study paper will be due by late May 2025.
There will be weekly homework and a chance to ask all your questions in the weekly livestreams.
COURSE FEES & PAYMENT PLANS:
The course runs for 14 lessons across now costs just £450.00.
You will be asked to pay a £50 deposit to secure your place. The remaining balance can then be paid in full at the start of the course, or in £100 monthly instalments.
Once your place is confirmed, you will receive a full course programme.
You will receive detailed PDFs ahead of each lesson, covering each week’s subject matter.
Participants should also budget for Ayurveda kitchen utensils which can come to approximately £100.00 and also for special foods such as wholegrains, legumes, spices, and various flours for the kitchen practical classes and homework.
The Course Teachers:
Main Teacher:
Sara Palmer is the main course teacher and the founder of the Heart of Ayurveda Academy. She is an Ayurveda Practitioner, and a Senior Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Therapist and meditation teacher.
She is passionate about the capacity of Ayurveda to empower each one of us with new levels of self-understanding, and whole person tools for transformation of body, heart and mind.
She has been teaching Ayurveda as a way of life in workshops, retreats and courses for more than twelve years and is held to be inspiring, generous and dedicated in sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda.
When not teaching she runs an Ayurveda clinic for 1-1 consultations and rejuvenation programmes, and loves cooking up new Ayurveda recipes and walks in nature with her lovely Spanish rescue dog.
Guest Teacher:
Manish Vyas is a composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, He also assigns part of his time to teaching to a few earnest students. As a composer, he has composed hundreds of pieces, mainly in the devotional, mystical, folk, instrumental and Sufi genres.
Carrying Indian music in his heart, one of his missions is to maintain the roots of Indian music. He is dedicated to transmitting the deep roots and core of the tradition and how it has been used in India for thousands of years, conveying with sincerity and authenticity the true meaning of Mantra Yoga.
We are honoured to have Manish join as a co-teacher on the Ayurveda Living course. He will introduce you the essential teachings on the practice of Mantra Yoga and the healing power of mantra, used frequently in Ayurveda.
Manish lives in Switzerland and regularly returns to India. We hope that he will soon visit us in the UK again to offer his spiritually powerful and transporting mantra workshops and retreats.
Guest Teacher:
Prasad Ragnenkar is a Yoga Educator based in India who has taught in over 15 countries for the past 28 years. He has been a practitioner of Yoga for the last 38 years, studying both, in traditional lineages, as well as academically, with a Master’s degree in Philosophy.
He is the Founder-Director of Yogaprasad Institute and conducts Yoga and Meditation Teacher Trainings, mentorship sessions, retreats, and workshops to spread the wisdom of traditional Yoga. He is regularly invited to speak at Indian Embassies, The European Commission, Yoga conventions, Schools, Corporate bodies, and Charity organizations.
Prasad is a skilled teacher who conveys the essence of Yoga and it’s deeper teachings with ease and grace.
We are delighted that Prasad will teach the philosophy part of this course to guide us through the fundamental princples at the root of Ayurveda’s understanding of this Universe and it’s workings.
We hope to welcome Prasad to the UK for further teaching in the near future.
Dr Narayanan Nambi
We are delighted that Ayurveda vaidya and University teacher of Ayurveda, Dr Narayanan Nambi will give a closing address on this course and will introduce our further training opportunities for course graduates wanting to deepen their Ayurveda understanding under the guidance of a world-renowned Ayurveda academy and lineage of doctors in India.
