Monthly Seasonal Sangha

Saturdays  9.30am – 12 noon

Charlecote Village Hall CV35 9EW

Coming together in practice, reflection and community

Our Seasonal Sangha gatherings offer a space to pause, reconnect and come home to ourselves as we move through the turning of the year.

Sangha is a coming together of people who share a wish to practice, enquire and live with greater awareness. These gatherings are an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend time in good company, exploring what the season might be inviting us to notice — both in the natural world around us and within ourselves.

Through inner enquiry, yoga postures, breath, relaxation and meditation, we let the spirit of season guide us in an exploration of how we might carry what we discover about ourselves on the mat into the challenges of everyday life, meeting them with greater awareness and reducing the inner discord they can create.

A seasonal soothing Ayurveda tea and chat in the lovely garden at Charlcote village hall, overlooking the fields, brings a lovely close to the morning. Sangha members report returning home feeling nourished and happy.

Each gathering is shaped by the qualities of the season and the combination of traditional Hatha yoga, breathwork, relaxation, meditation and inner enquiry are given seasonal themes, inspired Ayurvedic and Yogic wisdom.

Rather than simply learning something and leaving it on the mat, we explore how our practice can become a way of meeting life itself — noticing our habitual responses, listening more deeply to the body and mind, and discovering how the awareness we cultivate through practice can support us in the challenges and richness of everyday life.

There is also time to simply be together: to share, listen, reflect and enjoy the sense of community that comes from practicing alongside others.

The seasons give us a beautiful framework for this enquiry. Each one carries different qualities and invitations — to awaken and renew, to expand and enjoy, to gather and reflect, or to slow down and turn inward. As we learn to notice these rhythms in nature, we can become more attuned to them within ourselves.

These are not classes where you need to achieve anything or arrive with a particular level of experience. They are spaces to pause, practice, enquire, receive and nourish.

A chance to meet yourself where you are, to be nourished by practice and community, and to carry something of that awareness back into your everyday life.

Come for the practice.
Expand through the enquiry.
Find belonging in a loving Sangha.

Who are the Sangha sessions for?

The Sangha sessions are for anyone who feels drawn to explore yoga as a path of deeper self-awareness and inner growth, rather than simply as physical exercise. They are for those who want to pause, listen more deeply and discover how the awareness cultivated through practice can begin to transform the way we meet ourselves and everyday life. You do not need to be experienced in meditation or inner enquiry, but you will need a willingness to explore, reflect and meet yourself with openness and curiosity. Above all, these gatherings are for people who value authentic connection, personal growth and the possibility of finding belonging within a warm and supportive community.

Your Retreat  Host:

I’m Sara Palmer, also known as Shama, and I am the founder of Heart of Ayurveda. I am passionate about giving you the opportunity to experience the full reach of Yoga and meditation, and the life-transforming glimpse of your innermost being that these wonderful paths can bring to you.

I have always put time aside for regular intentional home practice, guided by the seasons more recently, always guided by whatever is taking place within my own heart and mind. These mornings are an invitaton to you to step into the same.

They are offered as a safe space within which to come back to the heart and soul of you we are.

There is nothing like the support of community and group energy to help us move even deeper into practice, and so to reap greater rewards from our practice.

I am a Senior Yoga Teacher, and my approach to yoga is one that recognises that Yoga can build within us a gentle strength – not only the physical kind, but also mental-emotional and spiritual. In this way, it can effect a profound healing.
