5 Day Ayurveda Spring Cleanse Retreat
Eaton Manor, Shropshire
March 27 – 31, 2026 Shropshire
Awaken, Lighten & Renew
Spring is a time of renewal — a season for lightening, clearing, and waking up from the stillness of winter.
In Ayurveda, it’s the ideal moment to support your body and mind in shedding heaviness, restoring balance, and aligning with the energy of new beginnings.
Over the winter months, our digestion slows, and we naturally accumulate ama — toxins and undigested waste — leading to feelings of sluggishness, congestion, water retention, or mental fog. As the earth begins to warm, Ayurveda invites us to gently cleanse and reawaken the body’s natural vitality.
This retreat offers a deeply nurturing space to do just that.
Join us for a guided Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse Retreat, where you’ll be supported in reconnecting with your inner clarity, energy, and ease through seasonal practices rooted in ancient wisdom.
Your Spring Cleanse Includes:
🌿 Nourishing plant-based meals designed to gently detoxify and energise
🧘♀️ Daily yoga and movement to stimulate circulation and clear stagnation
🌸 Personalised Ayurvedic treatments to support deep release and renewal
🌺 Herbal support to assist gentle cleansing and boost immunity
💫 Space to rest, breathe, reflect — and align with the rhythm of spring
This retreat is your invitation to lighten, brighten, and blossom — returning home to yourself feeling clear, connected, and deeply refreshed.
.
“My deepest wish for these retreats is that all participants leave inspired, and take home life-enhancing knowledge to support their health and happiness long after the retreat is finished”.

A Day In the Life of The Ayurveda Spring Cleanse Retreat
Awaken with the gentle Spring morning light as it spills across the hills of Shropshire — the soft stirrings of spring filtering through your window. In the kitchen, a cup of warm Ayurvedic tea awaits — light, cleansing, and infused with herbs to gently awaken your senses.
Follow the path to the meditation hall, accompanied by the songs of birds, and vistas across the woods and fields of the Eaton Manor Estate.
We begin with a gentle pranayama and meditation practice — clearing space within, aligning body and mind with the energy of renewal.
Afterwards, a nourishing, seasonal breakfast is served — light grains, stewed fruits, and revitalising tastes to support your body’s natural springtime detox.
Following breakfast, you may wander along the fresh trails of Wenlock Edge — or through the meadows and across the bubbling stream in the Estate grounds, taking in the beauy of the land alive with new life. Let nature’s quiet renewal reflect your own.
A mid-morning Ayurvedic yoga class calls you back to your mat — a flowing sequence designed to support detoxification, awaken energy, and harness the upward, cleansing movement of spring.
After class, pause with a vibrant herbal tea — a bright, refreshing infusion that supports clarity and digestion.
Then we gather in the meditation hall for a seasonal Ayurveda talk — exploring ancient wisdom for spring cleansing, and offering practical, daily tools to lighten your system and uplift your spirit.
A vibrant plant-based Ayurvedic lunch follows — full of fresh greens, seasonal vegetables, and cleansing spices to nourish, restore, and energise.
The afternoon is yours — for swimming in the estate’s indoor pool, exploring the wildwood trails, receiving a detoxifying Ayurveda treatment, or simply resting with a journal or book in the soft spring air.
Later, enjoy tea and a light, snack before we return to the hall for a late afternoon calming, restorative Yoga and/or Yoga Nidra practice to gently unwind the day and settle into quiet presence.
As dusk settles, we gather once more — each evening offering a different healing experience: a cleansing fire ceremony beneath the stars, a sound bath resonant with renewal, or a deeply restful Yoga Nidra.
Finally, you return to your room — body light, heart open, spirit clear — held by the gentle energy of spring and the sacred stillness of this ancient land.

Meet Your Retreat Host:
Your Guide For the Retreat is Sara (Shama) Palmer, M.A.
I’m Sara Palmer — also known as Shama — and I’m the founder of Heart of Ayurveda. When I first visited Shropshire, I was immediately drawn to its quiet, ancient beauty. The rolling hills, woodlands, and wild spaces hold a presence that invites us to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to ourselves.
For over 20 years, I’ve been guiding people through Yoga and Ayurveda, creating retreats that offer not just rest, but real renewal. My journey began in a traditional Yoga ashram in the Bahamas, where I witnessed how these practices can transform body, mind, and heart.
I believe healing happens gently — through nature, stillness, and daily practices that honour your unique rhythm. As a registered Ayurveda Practitioner and Senior Yoga Teacher, I bring a grounded, intuitive approach to everything I offer.
This Spring Cleanse Retreat is a space to clear what no longer serves you, reconnect with what does, and be held by the quiet wisdom of the land
