Your day begins with a welcoming Ayurveda tea and treat, as we move into a tailored Ayurveda consultation. Bespoke therapeutic Ayurveda treatments and/or a private yoga session follow, as well as a freshly prepared, tasty Ayurveda lunch.
This is time set aside entirely for you — to rest, reset, and be supported.
Together, we gently explore how Ayurveda and Yoga can be woven into your daily life in simple, sustainable ways, supporting greater ease, vitality, and a renewed sense of balance.

On this bespoke day retreat:
Step into a welcoming, calm home environment with dedicated treatment spaces, and be greeted by the soft sounds of meditation music, fragrant natural incense, and a seasonal Ayurveda tea.
As you step into a light and comfortable garden room, your time to focus completely on you begins. In an Ayurveda consultation, Sara will explore your current state of health, any health concerns or goals, and where relevant, your past health history. Ask all your health questions here and get a new Ayurveda perspective on them, informed by your unique Ayurveda type and any imbalances presenting themselves.
From these findings, your bespoke treatments and Yoga practices will be selected – to support balance and positivity. And notes are kept so that you can receive written personalised suggestions to implement at home.
Following your Ayurveda consultation, we take a short break before moving into a 1-1 personalised Yoga practice, or your first treatment of the day.
A warm, nourishing Ayurveda lunch and tea follows.
After lunch, enjoy a short stroll down the lane with views across the fields and river avon. Or take rest in a dedicated relax room with comfy velvet recliner, soft sounds, therapeutic colour light and soothing decor.
The last part of your day is another Ayurveda treatment – stimulating or calming according to your needs. We end the treatment with a gentle pressure point massage to lift the face and bring a glow to your skin.
Post treatment, relax with a soothing cup of tea and snack before preparing to head home.

Your Guide For the Retreat is Sara (Shama) Palmer, M.A.
I’m Sara Palmer — also known as Shama — and I’m the founder of Heart of Ayurveda.
For over 20 years, I’ve been guiding people through Yoga and Ayurveda, creating retreats that offer not just rest, but real renewal. My journey began in a traditional Yoga ashram in the Bahamas, where I witnessed how these practices can transform body, mind, and heart.
I believe healing happens gently — through nature, stillness, and daily practices that honour your unique rhythm. As a registered Ayurveda Practitioner and Senior Yoga Teacher, I bring a grounded, intuitive approach to everything I offer.
